Project Bruut: By and for the community

Robotics in agriculture is often complex and unaffordable. We believe this can be different. Project Bruut was born from the desire to design a modular, open-source field robot that you, as a farmer or maker, can build, understand, and adapt yourself.

Why Open Source?

We want to make complex robotics accessible by providing a solid foundation. Because the project is open-source, you are not tied to expensive licenses or closed ecosystems. You have the freedom to fully customize the tool carrier to your own needs and share your innovations with others.

Simplicity & Independence

No unnecessary electronics or overly complex systems. We use as many off-the-shelf standard components as possible. This means the robot is easy to build and, more importantly, that you can repair it yourself in the field without having to wait for an expensive technician.

Expectations & Reality

Let’s be honest: robotics is difficult. So don’t expect a ready-made commercial product wrapped up with a bow. What we do offer is a robust, programmable frame and a clear manual. We give you the tool—you give the robot its purpose.

The Power of Makers

Whether you’re a farmer with a welding machine or a developer who enjoys working with Ardupilot—we do this together. How great is it to share ideas as a community of enthusiasts, improve them, test them in the mud, and simply use them together?
